MAJESTIC VALLEY WILDERNESS LODGE, Sutton-Alpine

Majestic Valley Lodge has 21 rooms and cabins. The lodge has 3 deluxe rooms upstairs, including a master suite, 2 modern bedrooms-one with a queen bed and one with 2 queen beds-that share a bathroom. The lodge has 4 deluxe rooms downstairs that offer a choice of 1 queen bed, 2 queen beds, or a queen bed with a twin bed. There are 8 private rooms, each containing a full and twin bed and full bathroom. The cabins each have a queen and full bed, a full bathroom, a coffee bar, and views of the Chugach mountain range. All rooms include a full bathroom with granite vanity, radiant floor heat, television, and wireless computer service.

One set menu is served at 7:00 PM with 3 courses that differ daily. The staff caters meals to guest's dietary preferences and guest's budget. All food and alcohol must be purchased through Majestic Valley Lodge. The chefs prepare meals with food grown at the lodge or in Alaska when possible. The lodge bakes most of its own breads and desserts.

Guests can use a sound system with a CD player or device hook-up and Wi-Fi. The lodge has a large, open dining room with a wood floor that is ideal for bands, DJ's, and dancing. The lodge has a bonfire pit. Other activities include lawn and board games for family fun, axe throwing, and disc golf. Trails meander through spruce forests and along the 500-foot East Fork Canyon. Blue signs designate the trails. There are limitless snowshoeing opportunities for exploration of the winter habitat surrounding the lodge.

Majestic Valley Lodge is located along Hwy 1, also known as the Glenn Highway, at Mile 114.9. It is along the route to Denali National Park, Wrangell St Elias National Park, Prince William Sound- Valdez, and the Alaska Highway. Guests can take photos of wildlife and the sun illuminating peaks as they look out across the canyon to the Chugach mountains. Meekin's Air Service flies from the airstrip 50 feet from the lodge.

The lodge has a dining room, lounge, bar, 2 guest bathrooms, and covered porch. The covered porch offers additional seating in the summer months. The lodge provides a clean, non-smoking environment. Larger groups of over 125 enjoy buffet-style service with partial seating. Guests can use the hot tub. The venue facilitates decoration of tables and the dining room area for bridal parties. A projector and screen are available. RV camping is allowed in the parking lot, and electrical hook-ups may be available.
